Pet Costumes are Popular

Evil Pets and Their Halloween Costumes
Halloween is fun for pets. They love their parents and are always having play time with them. If the pets are used to wearing a sweater or any other type of clothing for them, then wearing a Halloween costume will not be a problem. Try a few months ahead of the event if the animal is not used to this and gently show them it will not hurt them or scare them. Cats love to play with their tails. So, they will think it is a new adventure to explore.

A lot of times the parents will dress up as the same as their pets. Sometimes they just want to dress up their pets only. One of the most popular costumes this year is zombies. This would be a great concept to try with your pet.
If you own a large dog like a rot, pit, or anything else bulky and mean, they are already scary enough. Buy a dog costume that will cover their body by using snaps or Velcro. There can be leg coverings also. If there is not, then use friendly dog safe makeup to blend the dog’s legs in with the body cover. Attach the zombie head covering to their head. Never cover their face to keep them safe.
If you just want to have Halloween fun and go tamer, just buy a sweater that says, “I love zombies.” Or other sayings and designs like a zombie hunter, biohazard, skulls, and more. Dad or mom can have matching t-shirts. If the parents were zombie hunters, then they would carry a crossbow or a pistol designed to kill zombies on contact. Use a head covering for the dog that would give them a weapon to use. Like a zombie killing bone or an extra set of teeth.
If you are having a problem in finding an evil pet costume, try this idea. Measure your dog. Then, go to the craft store and buy fake fur. Use elastic or Velcro to attach to the fake fur. This also will be attached to your pet safely.  Take the fur and use latex face paint for skin that will be open oozing sores. Or just look for wounds that are for sale for Halloween. Glue them on with craft glue and dry completely. Do not forget to add blood if necessary.
You can comb your dog or cat’s fur to blend into the fake fur, if they have long hair. Do the same for each leg to blend into the costume. Create a head covering that will Velcro around their neck. Remember to comb their hair into it to blend in. Your pet will never have blood or face paint on them. They will stay clean and have no skin allergies.  But, they will have a lot of fun!
The parents can take their creation and match it to their costume by shopping around and adding accessories to it.  They will look well complemented and get a lot of looks walking down the street. If you do it correctly, the animal’ wounds will look real! Even add glow in the dark to the wounds for a creepy, eerie affect!

If you are to busy, like most of us these days, to make a costume for your beloved pet, don't fret, because the selection of costumes for your pet, is huge this year. Pet costumes abound. Just look around and remember, it's all about having fun.
